XRP Price Struggles to Recover as RLUSD Surpasses $1.7 Billion Market Cap

Ripple’s stablecoin, RLUSD, recently exceeded a $1.7 billion market cap. Launched in December 2024, RLUSD has become one of the fastest-growing stablecoins in the market. It adopts its increasing role in settlement activities on the XRP Ledger.

Even though it has been growing rapidly, professionals highlight that RLUSD is not generating buying pressure for XRP. Therefore, the success of the stablecoin and XRP’s stagnant price remain unknown for now.

Tradeblock Analysis: XRP Is Coming to a Decision Point

XRP’s price has been moving back and forth for several weeks. Its compressed volatility and symmetrical triangle on the daily chart show that there is a constant battle between buyers and sellers. This period indicated that a change in an asset’s value is coming. You should watch out for these levels:

  • Immediate Resistance: XRP is running into a wall between $1.40 and $1.45. That range is tough to break because of the 100-day moving average and the upper edge of a falling channel XRP has been stuck in long-term. When multiple resistance levels stack on top of each other like this, they’re much harder to push through.
  • Support: XRP has bounced off the $1.30-$1.32 limit multiple times in the past. However, if it falls below this range, it would be down to a $1.20 and falling that far would be a pretty bad sign for where things are headed. That said, data from CryptoQuant shows that transaction count spikes on the XRP Ledger have historically preceded major price rallies, suggesting the current consolidation could be building a launchpad rather than a ceiling.

The Rise of Maxi Doge ($MAXI)

As XRP can’t break past $1.45 and has an $80 billion+ market cap, it left many investors questioning its remaining potential. As going through this back-and-forth period comes with costs, some investors are turning to other fast-growing assets.

Maxi Doge ($MAXI), an Ethereum-based (ERC-20) meme token, is one of the assets gaining attraction. It is aimed at high-stakes traders. It has a “gym-bro” marketing aesthetic and uses the mascot of a muscular dog.

It’s raised over $4.7 million in its presale at $0.000282 per token. Investors can stake their tokens for a 65% APY, and the asset keeps its community engaged through trading competitions with leaderboard prizes. There is also a “Maxi Fund” set aside to keep funding future partnerships, so it’s not just hype with nothing behind it.
