Starting Saturday, July 17, 2021 (4:00pm EST) and ending on Sunday, July 18, 2021 (4:00pm EST), TradeBlock will update constituents for the ADX (ADA/USD), BTX (BAT/USD), and ECX (ETC/USD) indexes as part of a scheduled quarterly review. A full list of CoinDesk Indexes can be viewed here.
CoinDesk Indexes serve as real-time, replicable, USD-equivalent spot rates for different digital currencies. CoinDesk Indexes are designed to enhance price discovery, by providing reference rates for underlying digital currencies, using TradeBlock’s industry-leading methodology. In the section below we delineate the upcoming changes to the previously mentioned Indexes.
Changes to the ADX Index composition
The ADX Index will delist the following constituent and currency pair:
- Bittrex: ADA/USD
Changes to the BTX Index composition
The BTX Index will add the following constituent and currency pair:
- Coinbase: BAT/USD
The BTX Index will delist the following constituent and currency pair:
- Bittrex: BAT/USD
Changes to the ECX Index composition
The ECX Index will delist the following constituent and currency pair:
- Bittrex: ETC/XBT
The above changes are part of TradeBlock’s quarterly index update, whereby revisions, if necessary, are made according to the firm’s Index Methodology.
